Alex St. John, President and Chief Technology Officer, Hi5
Alex leads all product strategy, design, development and operations at hi5. Previously, he was CEO and co-founder of WildTangent, the world’s largest privately held game network with over 30 million monthly uniques. During his tenure, WildTangent developed a unique and highly successful micro-currency based economy and pioneered several technologies for online game publishing. Previously, Alex was responsible for Microsoft's multimedia strategy. He was one of the principal creators of Microsoft's DirectX technology, which become the foundation for all Windows multimedia applications, 3D graphics, media players, and casual multiplayer games, as well as thousands of PC and Xbox games. Alex has an honorary degree from the DigiPen Institute of Technology, and also advises the University of Washington on its technical degree programs and Tech Transfer department.
Steven Chiang, President, Studios, Zynga
Prior to joining Zynga earlier this year, Chiang spent 15 years at Electronic Arts, where he was most recently senior vice president and group general manager of the company's EA sports division. There, he oversaw the popular Madden NFL series, helped re-launch the EA Sports site, and worked on upcoming online game Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online. He also co-founded Tiburon Entertainment in 1994 near Orlando Florida. Electronic Arts acquired the development studio in 1998, renamed it EA Tiburon, and set the group to work on many of its franchises based on sports licenses, such as NASCAR, NCAA Football, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour.
