| SPP! Ranch gets a sweet tooth with new Candy Land items Posted: 05 May 2010 08:32 PM PDT Every Wednesday we see new items hitting the store in SPP Ranch, and we're generally impressed with what we see. Their releases are large, detailed, and offer a huge variety of choices for ranchers. These items remind us of the Candy House in FishVille, and there is nothing wrong with that! We found ourselves drooling just looking at all of these 'sweet' items. Check out the full details on what you're missing out on: Red Ribbon Candy Cane - 75 coinsPink Candy Rat - 100 coins Blue Candy Rat - 125 coins Candy Gate - 400 coins Giant Cake House - 4500 coins Candy Umbrella - 1500 coins Candy Train Engine - 400 coins Candy Train Cargo - 200 coins Pink Floral Candy Cane - 75 coins Yellow Ribbon Candy Cane - 75 coins Candy Pillar - 175 coins Ginger Bread Man - 250 coins Candy Bike - 300 coins Candy Stack - 650 coins Dancing Pig - 25 gold Pig hiding in Pink Cloud - 35 gold Black Jellybean (and every other color in the rainbow) - 50 coins Giant Candy Panda Plushie - 2500 coins Sleeping Pig on a Giant Donut - 40 gold Rabbit with Candy Machine - 20 gold Cow with Candy Machine - 20 gold Sheep with Candy Machine - 20 gold Red Floral Candy Cane - 75 coins Yellow Floral Candy Cane - 75 coins Brown Candy Chair - 200 coins Yellow Candy Chair - 200 coins Purple Candy Chair - 200 coins Blue Candy Chair - 200 coins Are you enjoying the fun and edible goodness in SPP! | Three new random buildings are shipwrecked on Happy Island Posted: 05 May 2010 08:20 PM PDT Happy Island has released three new buildings today, and surprisingly they are not Cinco de Mayo or Mother's Day related. Luckily for us, this means we get to write about something new! The three new items in the Happy Island Shop are the Bush Camp, the Fish Tank, and Bill's Steakhouse. The Bush Camp is a level 32 item (though you can bypass that requirement by paying 499 Facebook Credits) that costs 207,400 coins. That is a ton of coins for a Bush Camp, we think. However, it does have a collect value of 2700, which is pretty hefty. The Fish Tank costs 55 Facebook Credits, has no level requirement, and has a collect value of 55. Bill's Steakhouse is a level 24 item that costs 92,000 coins and has a collect rate of 2250. Too impatient to wait? You can also buy it at any level for 249 Facebook Credits. The three buildings don't have much in common with each other, but we like them all the same. Watch our vegetarians, it's time to serve some steak! What do you think of these prices? Too high, just right, or too low? Let us know your thoughts.

| Mall World: Two limited time necklaces available now Posted: 05 May 2010 07:41 PM PDT As long as Mall World has fashion designers on their development team, their endless pour of content will keep on coming. We've been impressed lately by the pace at which new outfits and accessories are released in Mall World. This is the first time we have seen a 24-hour limited edition item in Mall World, and we have two to choose from. It's only fitting that a mall themed game would have limited time sales. What's next, a layaway program? We wish. The Jade Pearl Heiress Necklace is a beautiful green color that can be both casual and elegant depending what you wear it with. The Multi-Gem Brilliant Chain is a colorful piece of jewelry that looks like it could be right out of Treasure Isle. The crystals are quite stunning. Both of these necklaces can be purchased from the Steffany's jewelry store for 15 credits. Log in to Mall World today to buy these limited time items.

| Send your mom gifts for Mother's Day in Cafe World Posted: 05 May 2010 07:28 PM PDT With all the talk lately about various games holding ProFlowers promotions for Mother's Day, it has seemed like games are skipping over offering in-game gifts. Cafe World has just released three new gifts on their gift page that you can send to your mom (or any mom that you know who plays) to celebrate this special holiday. These three gifts are the Mother's Day Candy Box, the Mother's Day Cookies, and the Mother's Day Teddy Bear. We suspect these three gifts will be leaving after the weekend since May 9th is Mother's Day, so don't miss this opportunity to share some Cafe World love with Mom. If you're a mom, request one from your friends! We're sure people will be pleased to honor a mom on this special day. Log in to Cafe World now to send free Mother's Day gifts to someone special.

| Three new buildings arrive in Social City Posted: 05 May 2010 07:11 PM PDT Every time we turn around, Social City is releasing another set of buildings and promoting it in their new and improved Social City Gazette. This time, we have a new Basketball Stadium, a Museum or Rock, and an Adobe Home 1. The prices range from 19 City Bucks to a hefty 65 City Bucks. We find it interesting that the buildings that are featured on the news are always City Bucks and are never coins items. Here are the item details: Basketball Stadium - +45,000 population, 3x3 sized, collect 10,000 coins every 2 days, build time 1 minute, 4,000xp, 65 City Bucks Museum of Rock - +22,000 population, 2x2 sized, collect 1,000 coins every 16 hours, build time 1 minute, 540xp, 45 City Bucks Adobe Home 1 - +1000 pop, 1x1 sized, collect 1,000 workers every 1 day, build time 1 minute, 172xp, 19 City Bucks The Basketball Stadium is a massive building, which it rightfully should be at the price. The Museum of Rock is a rather odd building that combines a traditional museum with musical instruments, and the Adobe Home will look familiar if you're playing FarmVlile and enjoying the new Southwestern theme. Do you ever buy the promoted times in the Social City Gazette? Will you buy one of these?

| Throw a Wonderland tea party in Restaurant City Posted: 05 May 2010 06:42 PM PDT Restaurant City has just released a huge Alice in Wonderland themed set that will allow players to turn their restaurant into a tea party extraordinaire. Everyone from the Queen to the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat will be in attendance at your party, with a wealth of decorations running the gamut. While many games held a Wonderland theme during the release of Alicein Wonderland earlier this year, Restaurant City have opted to hold off until the competition is slimmer. Let's take a peek at the list of new Wonderland items. Flamingo - 1100 coinsIndoor: Wingback Chair - 2400 coins Tea Table - 1350 coins Mad Hatter - 6 Playfish Cash Queen of Hearts - 8 Playfish Cash Mother's Day Chocolates (Gift) - 760 coins Tea Cakes Tower - 850 coins White Rabbit - 4600 coins March Hare - 9500 coins Tea Party Decor - 23,000 coins Wonderland Tile - 35 coins Wonderland Wallpaper - 2500 coins Red Rose Bush - 10 Playfish Cage Pocketwatch Stove - 27 Playfish Cage Outdoor: Alice Roof - 23000 coins Cheshire Cat - 30000 coins Mother's Day Bouquet (Gift) - 600 coins Rose Bush Decor - 800 coins Singing Flowers - 1700 coins Tweedledum and Tweedledee - 4000 coins May Pole - 4500 coins Red Rose Bush - 5000 coins Card Army - 8000 coins Recipes: Drink Me Tea Cakes Selection We're pretty excited about this set, because the majority of the awesome looking items are for coins and not Playfish Cash. Some of these items are not very versatile, but if you are really into Alice in Wonderland and want a replica restaurant - here is your chance. We're unsure how long this theme will last, but it should be at least a week or two. Because one of the new recipes is Tea Cakes, Restaurant City are currently giving away a free Strawberry ingredient for the next 24-hours only. Click on this link to claim your free Strawberry!

| YoVille gives out free Gold Mystery Boxes this week *Spoilers* Posted: 05 May 2010 05:54 PM PDT This mystery box definitely is giving away lots of YoCash. We've heard reports of up to 25 YoCash in the box, and up to 3,000 coins. The other items you can win from this box are: Chaise Lounge Zynga Hat Eiffel Tower Statue So far, this is all that has been reported. The Chaise Lounge is rather attractive we think, but the Zynga Hat and Eiffel Tower are just kind of 'meh'. The real prize in these Mystery Boxes is winning YoCash. Just remember, if you don't get what you want today - you could still get it tomorrow or every day until Sunday. Have you seen more than 25 YoCash in your free Gold Mystery Box? | FishVille Gemstone Pouch: Everything you need to know *spoiler* Posted: 05 May 2010 01:07 PM PDT FishVille has just released a brand new Crystal Caverns theme, and with it is a brand new Gemstone Pouch collection mini-game. This game works exactly the same as the Mushroom Mound and just like all of the holiday collection minigames in FarmVille. If you're looking to find out what exactly you can earn with the new Gemstone Pounch collection and how to earn it, we have the details. Quartz Conch Shell - 3 GemstonesEveryone has a Gemstone Pouch, which you can access by clicking the little gem icon on the left side of your screen. This will pop open the game, and show you how many gemstones you have and how many you need to get each level of item. Collecting the required amount of gemstones will unlock the next reward for you and you will be able to purchase it. Gems work just like currency, you will have to trade them in for items and the purchase amount will be deducted from your gem balance. You can always click the "comparison" button to see how many total gems you have collected compared to your friends (if you want to brag). To collect gemstones, you can either request them from friends or you can purchase them from the Store at a price of 5 Sand Dollars for five gems. Every one can send all four of the gems, and it doesn't matter which color you receive - they all increment your number just the same. If you send more to your friends, chances are you'll get more in return! Read on for the full spoiler list of six rewards you can earn by collecting gems. Blue Cave Pearls - 6 Gemstones Purple Travertine - 10 Gemstones Gleaming Skull - 16 Gemstones Ceiling Crystal - 20 Gemstones Longfin Damsel - 30 Gemstones We think the fish is a cute little fish, but the neatest reward is probably the Ceiling Crystal. It is bright and colorful and we can't wait to add it to our fish tank. Which rewards do you think are the best in the new Gemstone Pouch game?

This theme was the second place finisher in the survey that the FishVille development team posted a couple weeks ago. This new theme contains 11 items so far, and all of them are a rich, well-contrasted color that will definitely make tanks stand out. We think this is an even better looking theme than the Fanta-Sea set, but should tie in nicely with pieces from that theme as well. Here is the full list of items in the Crystal Caverns theme, and pricing: Blue Helictite - 65,000 coinsCrystal Seahorse - 15 Sand Dollars Creeper Cave - 16 Sand Dollars Bubbling Lava Tube - 10 Sand Dollars Orange Ore - 6 Sand Dollars Purple Ore - 6 Sand Dollars Calcite Crystals - 50,000 coins Pointy Stalactite - 35,000 coins Big Stalactite - 100,000 coins Topaz Tiger Lily - 10 Sand Dollars Red Crystal Shroom - 10 Sand Dollars Gemstone Pack (Pack of 5) - 5 Sand Dollars The Gemstone Pack is for the Gemstone Pouch mini game. | Price is Right game arrives on Facebook in June Posted: 05 May 2010 10:00 AM PDT That's right - Price is Right fans -- the game show with the most will be coming to Facebook next month. Host Drew Carey spilled the beans during an interview, talking about the important of getting the word out about the show using every media outlet possible, including the iPhone, Xbox, Wii adaptions of the show, in addition to the new Facebook game. "I love it," Carey says in this Associated Press article."I don't think they're doing as much as they should be doing. Business-wise, you should take advantage of every media stream you can," he said, adding, "I want to be part of a gig that's doing new things and trying stuff." There aren't many details on how the Facebook game will work exactly, but if the popularity of Family Feud on Facebook is an indicator -- this could be big. Then again, if there's no Showcase Showdown with the 'Big Wheel,' we're gonna be pissed. Photo courtesy of CBS.

| Starcraft II promises Facebook integration with a purpose Posted: 05 May 2010 06:00 AM PDT Blizzard, the Makers of World of Warcraft, has taken the first step to introduce Facebook into its popular PC games. Anyone who uses Battle.net -- Blizzard's service that links players to their online games -- will be able to use Facebook to find and recruit fellow players. The first implementation will be in Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty beta and will roll out to to everyone when the game officially launches on July 27. The press release says that "information about other Facebook-related features on Battle.net will be announced at a later date," and we can't help but wonder if that means some kind of Facebook tie-in will be coming to World of Warcraft as well. Integration with social networks is a trend that's taken hold of hardcore console and PC game makers. Last year, Uncharted 2 for PlayStation 3 launched last year with a well meaning, but ultimately annoying, Twitter integration and EA's Need for Speed World for PC will also have Facebook implementation (plus a few other console games we're not allowed to spill the beans on just yet). It's nice to see traditional game companies embrace social networks, but does this integration really add to the game experience or is it more of a gimmick? So far, we'd vote for the latter, but if the Blizzard-Facebook connection can help you hook up with friends who are playing the same game, this might be the first useful implementation we've seen so far.
