| Woldtown: New kid-friendly Facebook game (with dragons!) takes flight this spring Posted: 25 Mar 2010 12:00 PM PDT A new 3D virtual world is coming to Facebook, this one's called Woldtown, developed by Dinglepharb Studios. The game, based on a popular Chinese social game, stars "miniature, magical dragons,' that fly, transorm into different objects and like to throw pies at each other. The game will let you play as one of 24 different dragons, earning WoldCash by taking on a series of quests, exploring environments and playing mini-games. Pies (and the throwing of them) will be a big part of the game -- and players will be able to upgrade the pies using WoldCash. Other than the fact that this family friendly game comes out in the spring, we don't know much about it other than that it stars a bunch of perky dragons that look suspiciously like Barney, the

| Warning! Fake Mafia Wars toolbars busted stealing Facebook passwords Posted: 25 Mar 2010 12:00 PM PDT Several fake Mafia Wars toolbars that are floating around the Web are actually elaborate scams to snag your Facebook passwords and personal information. Sunbelt blog says these phishing applications, will appear normal at first, but when you hit the 'Facebook' button, it leads to a fake Facebook web site, where -- if you attempt to login -- will capture your real Facebook password. There are a few ways to protect your Facebook password and personal info from fake toolbars: 1. The first and the best way is to avoid using any toolbars other than the official ones created by Zynga. 2. Be especially wary if the toolbar offers 'cheats' for Mafia Wars or any other game. 3. If you want to install a toolbar with cheats anyway, avoid clicking any button that promises to lead you to Facebook 4. If you decide to click a button on a toolbar that takes you to Facebook, make sure the URL is Facebook.com, rather than Facebook.tk or any other URL that seems unusual. Again, your best bet is to avoid using third-party social gaming toolbars completely to make sure your information is 100% safe. Have you run across any of these fake Mafia Wars toolbars? | Zoo World Easter Eggs: Everything you need to know Posted: 25 Mar 2010 11:30 AM PDT Easter bunnies and eggs of all types have started showing up in all of our favorite Facebook games, including Zoo World. Similar to the FarmVille Pot of Gold mini-game that ran earlier this month, to goal of Zoo World's Easter egg game is to collect as many eggs as possible and trade them in for rare gifts. The eggs can only be sent by friends, so you'll have to do your due diligence and ask friends to send you some. Just to be polite -- it's a good idea to send a bunch of eggs as well, and it looks like you'll be able to send certain eggs for a limited amount of time from the Free Gifts area in the game. Once you gain enough Easter egg baskets (a basket is comprised of one of each of the six eggs shown in the picture below), you will be able to trade them in for the following items starting March 28: - Mystery Decoration - Mystery Kiosk (1 basket) - Easter Tree (5 baskets) - Ultra-rare Butterfly (15 baskets) -15 Wildlife points (20 baskets) - Ultra-Rare Bunny (30 baskets) Eggs sent from friends (and accepted) will appear in this giant bunny-shaped raft, floating right outside the ticket stand. To keep track of your eggs, click the big white bunny and you see how many of which egg you've collected. Which item do you plan to trade for your baskets of eggs?

| Happy Island gets a facelift with new Crater Lake island style and more Posted: 25 Mar 2010 11:05 AM PDT The new island style called Crater Lakes raises the island count to six. As we previously reported, each one of these exotic islands can replace your happy island, breathing new life into stale resorts. If you're rather attached to your retreat, you can always expand to multiple islands. Because of it's limited building space and exquisite vistas, Crater Lakes makes a lovely pick for your second island. Unfortunately, the new island costs a whopping 159 Facebook Credits! Follow the link to read about the new decorations and attractions Happy Island has to offer. The new attractions are the Sushi Cart and the Fossil Tar Pool. The Fossil Tar Pool costs 29 Facebook Credits. Fortunately, the Sushi Cart goes for 9,500 Coins but requires the player to be at Level 14 to purchase it. The decorations are slightly kinder on the wallet. The Redwood Tree costs 5,200 Coins and the Coral Cluster a mere 1,200 Coins. The lava dribbling, smoke coughing Vesuvian Lava Flow though, costs 29 Facebook Credits. So, once again, the coolest items require us to spend our precious Facebook Credits. Even so, we always enjoy when games release updates and items for fans to pour over. Head over to Happy Island to see the items in motion and to decide whether any of these items are for you.

| Posted: 25 Mar 2010 10:30 AM PDT #1 "Gummy Fun Teeter-Totter" (4 Cafe Cash) #2 "Gumball Hippo" (13 Cafe Cash) #3 "Fancy Flapjack Stacker" (14 Cafe Cash) #4 "Gumdrop Glammer" (16 Cafe Cash) #5 "Candy Crane" (16 Cafe Cash) If you're gunning for 2 thru 5, candy-themed Mystery Crates are going for 10 Cafe Cash each, so you've the chance to save a few Cafe Cash on one. The Candy Construction crew is pretty straightforward, but some of these items are wonderfully surreal. The "Gumball Hippo" is the strangest item, since it's made of bouncing gumballs, and it blows bubblegum until the bubble pops. | Social City Cheats & Tips: How to add water to your city Posted: 25 Mar 2010 09:30 AM PDT Social City, the new city-building game from Playdom, hasn't added a water tool that will allow you to create rivers, giant lakes or any other big bodies of H20. However, someone came up with the ingenious idea of using the Blue Flower Patch to mimic water in the game. We found this example above on the game's official Facebook fan page. The Blue Flower patch costs 1,000 coins each and adding them to your city will increase experience points by 4 and overall happiness by 100. There's also a side benefit to creating faux bodies of water -- since you have to buy quite a few to complete the effect, this can be a good way to level up fast, much like buying hay bales in FarmVille. If you've used the Blue Flower Patch to create water in Social City, send it to libe@games.com, and we'll post it here. Related: Social City Cheats & Tips: Six Easy

Don't forget, delivery takes a while so order soon.

| Happy Pets Happy Hotel makes room for more pets Posted: 25 Mar 2010 07:30 AM PDT If you're one of those people who like to pack your Happy Pets house with loads of animals, a new feature -- called the Happy Hotel -- will house your pets, leaving more room for additional pets. If you miss any of your pets, simply check some other pets into the hotel, and check the others out. Happy Pets also released a new Pet Trader feature, which will allow friends to swap pets instead of selling them to make room for more. This is an interesting way to deal with the fact that players want to have more pets in the game, but why can't we just simply add more pets to our rooms? What do you think of the new Happy Pets Happy Hotel feature?

| Happy Pets Pet Trader allows players to swap furry friends Posted: 25 Mar 2010 07:00 AM PDT Happy Pets from Crowdstar just opened up the Pet Trader, a new feature that will allow players to put specific pets up for adoption, allowing friends to go in and give cats, dogs, bunnies, etc a new home. Previously, the only way to make room for new pets, was to basically delete pets from your game in exchange for some cash. Now friends can benefit from all of your hard work -- and vice versa. You can also hit up the Pet Trader to find new pets, maybe something rare or only available to higher level players. The Pet Trader seems to be running a little slowly right now (and crashed a few times as well), so we're guessing there's still a little tweaking going on behind the scenes to turn this new feature into a well-oiled trading machine. Happy Pets Pet Trader: Will you use it?

| Cafe World Tom Yum Goong recipe gone missing? [poll] Posted: 25 Mar 2010 06:30 AM PDT A few days ago, Cafe World released a new dish -- Tom Yum Goong, which could only be unlocked by gaining five levels in Mafia Wars (minimum level 15). Once the dish was unlocked, the recipe will be done in four days and yields 3,000 servings and brings in a total of 15,000 coins. However, many players have been complaining that the recipe has gone missing from their menus and don't know when it will come back. Other say that the recipe has stayed put. Which is the case for you?

| Cafe World adds delicious Ice Cream Sundaes to the menu Posted: 25 Mar 2010 06:00 AM PDT On March 24, Cafe World introduced a new recipe to the menu -- the Ice Cream Sundae. As you can see from the image above, you have to be level 55 and up to cook this recipe, which takes 18 hours to cook. Once the sundaes are ready to be served, you'll earn 8 coins per serving and 28 Cafe Points per batch. Ice Cream Sundaes (which serves 50) can also be gifted, from the Free Gifts page or via a random pop-up window (see after the jump) which appears while playing the game. We think the new Ice Cream Sundae is a nice change of pace from all of the ribs, dino drumsticks and heavily-frosted cakes we've been serving of late, though it's a little surprising that this recipe takes a whopping 18 hours to make. Do you like the new Cafe World Ice Cream Sundaes?

| MMA Pro Fighter Cheats & Tips: Getting Started Guide Posted: 25 Mar 2010 05:49 AM PDT MMA Pro Fighter, from Digital Chocolate, is a really high quality social game that keeps drawing more and more players to the ring. In this game, you become a MMA Pro Fighter, choose your own fighting skills and start training to become the best MMA fighter in the world. In this article we'll go through the basic aspects of the game and learn how to play MMA Pro Fighter. 1. Your Fighter This is the overview window where you can check your fighter's status, the techniques you can use in fights as well the ones you use the most, as well as details on the equipment and other items you own. Every time you gain a level, you'll be awarded attribute points which can be used to improve your fighter - it would be wise to only improve your health and stamina, in order to get a really powerful fighter. In the Fighter menu you can also change your tattoos or hairstyle to look more as a fighter you'd like to be in real life. Also, you can customize your fighter with shorts from your country and much more. 2. Fights In the Fight tab you can choose other fighters for matches. Here you should play smart and choose for fighters with similar techniques as yours and maybe lower condition. You can see the amount of experience and cash you can win from winning your fight, so always choose carefully. There are three types of fights you can access here, all of them with similar results: 1) Fights against other MMA avatars 2) Fights against your Friends 3) Fights against special MMA Pro Fighter Champions which get unlocked at certain levels. 3. Training Here you can gain those extra bits of experience and keep your fighter at the highest condition possible. Unlike in other games, it shouldn't be really wise to train as much as possible since training only gives you experience and levels you up very fasy. However, you need money to learn new techniques (and you can get money via fighting only or purchase them for real cash), so a high level doesn't really mean that you're a lot better. So only use the training when needed and don't overdo it! 4. Fighting techniques As I said before, you can learn fighting techniques and master them - all being done from the SHOP. These can be from your preferred fighting style or any other style available in the game. Also, there are offensive, defensive and combos - all of them costingmoney to learn and having more levels to master. A general advice would be to learn the defensive techniques first in order to avoid getting a one hit KO from a nobody, and only then train your offense. Choose carefully sincemoney is limited and you can't become an expert in all the fighting styles! Also have in mind that learning techniques from other styles than your favorite ones costs more! 5. The importance of adding friends Even though MMA Pro Fighter is not a game that puts a huge accent on the social element, your sparring friends can not only send you valuable free gifts (like health replenishers), but you also earn more experience thanks to your friends. Even more, sometraining can't be done without the help of friends, so it would be wise to add a few active ones early on! However, they don't play such an important role as in other more peaceful games, like FarmVille. 6. Complete Challenges These are the game's achievements are a great and easy way to earn extra dollars and experience. Make sure you check this area as often as possible and complete as many challenges as possible to further improve your fighter! 7. Ring Girls These beauties need Pro Points to keep you happy and healthy. Pro Points are the in-game currency you can only get for completing in-game offers or purchasing them for realcash. So be really careful when spending them! 8. How to get more cash in MMA Pro Fighter? As I said, it's really difficult to gain money in this game and money is essential for improving your fighting and also getting some boosts, plus that you need some extra money to be able to train. Most of the money will be won by winning fights, so you should make sure you fight as often as possible and win as much as possible. This will be your main source of income and it's better to fight for lower rewards (but certain wins) than trying to fight against better players and losing, since you'll have to wait a lot for your health to replenish. Also, you're awarded quite a few bucks for completing the challenges, so make sure you visit that page often and claim your rewards. Finally, you can simply buy Cash for Pro Points (the in-game currency). 9. How to level up faster in MMA Pro Fighter? The easiest way to level up in the game is by completing training sessions. However, have in mind that it's not the wisest idea to have a high level fighter who isn't a master of many fighting techniques. So, as strange as it might sound, you shouldn't focus on levelling up too fast since that will hurt your fighter! I hope you've found this guide helpful and you'll find it easier to play MMA Pro Fighter! This article originally appeared on Social Games Help.
